When ISA takes a proactive approach to insurance, the broker benefits and the clients are happy and safer. Learn how we responded to threatening trees looming over a home and responded quickly to a break-in worked in the brokers’ favor…

Timber! –A broker called us to inquire, for a client, about a tree damaged from wind, during Tropical Storm Sandy, that was threatening to fall on the client’s house. Since there was already other damage on the property and clean up crews were engaged, we were able to prevent further damage by getting coverage to remove the leaning tree. Although, the tree had not fallen the company agreed it made sense to remove the threat rather than coming back at a later date for a much bigger claim. A $1,000 settlement avoided what could have turned into a significant claim and a huge inconvenience to the insured.

Most Alarming!
An ISA client experienced a break in at their rural home. The client’s alarm company didn’t respond, jewelry and cash were taken. By instructing the client to “take immediate action and replace the alarm company”, we were able to recoup the $2,500 of coverage for “loss Prevention Device’. In the end we covered, the jewelry, cash, damage to the home and the full ‘Loss prevention’ limit. Working with the broker closely created a bond with the client that helped them return to their life and recover from the incident.
