NOVEMBER 10, 2015 | ROCK HILL, NY — Irwin Siegel Agency is proud to announce that Christal Huft has joined its underwriting team as an Executive Underwriter. Christal Huft has served the insurance industry in various capacities for nearly twenty years. She has a wealth of experience with all lines of commercial insurance and holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. While she began her career on the retail agency and brokerage side, Christal has focused the majority of her career underwriting Social Service program business. In this capacity, Christal has partnered with retail agents across the country to offer comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of the social service industry.

Christal most recently served as a Program Director at NIP Group where she focused on transitioning four national insurance programs to a new carrier partner. She previously served as a Program Leader at THOMCO, Inc. and Markel Corp. where she also played a vital role in the transition of their programs after the merger of the two companies. Christal built a strong team of underwriters dedicated to providing an exceptional product and outstanding customer service; two deliverables she believes are the cornerstone to a strong agency-carrier partnership. Christal is passionate about serving her clients and helping the social service industry thrive.

Having been involved in the transition of several insurance programs, Christal understands what it takes to make the process smooth for both the insured and retail agent partner. As such, she is especially excited to join Irwin Siegel Agency at a time when we are transitioning our Social Service book to Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), commenting, “It’s great to be part of such a well-established team where I feel my experience can be fully utilized.
